PV SINDHU: A RISING STAR IN THE WORLD OF SPORTS
Does
hard work really pay off?
Yes,
hard work really pays off, if you have strong determination and willingness to
achieve your goal. There are thousands of examples in the world, who really
worked hard in their lives and become inspiration for others. The best example
is PV Sindhu. Her hard work and commitment towards badminton has leaded her to
be a proud daughter of nation.
Today,
PV Sindhu is just not a name but a brand in the world of badminton.
Pusarla Venkata Sindhu (PV Sindhu)
born in family of Volleyball players in a small district of Andhra Pradesh state,
has incredibly achieved height in badminton ranking. PV Sindhu who is currently
ranked 4th position in women’s badminton ranking apart from this Sindhu
has also received Padma Shree (the fourth highest civilian award).
Recently, the world championship of
badminton held at Glasgow, Scotland has proved to be a proud movement for
Sindhu as well as for Indians too. Although, she managed to get silver but gave
a tough fight to Nozomi Okuhara (Japan) in her finals of world championship by
19 – 21.
ACHIVEMENTS
OF PV SINDHU:
1. Sindhu
at the age of 17years was among the top 20 players the world according to the
women’s badminton ranking.
2. In
2013, she won the Badminton world championship.
3. Received
the fourth highest civilian award “Padma Shree”.
4. Won
Rio Olympics Badminton, 2013.
5. Went in finals of Rio Olympics Badminton,
2016.
6. Won
Silver medal in world badminton championship, 2017.
Indian daughter has made every Indian proud with her
recent performance in badminton world championship. The success is remarkable; she
became the first Indian badminton player to play in the finals of world
badminton championship. Although she lost the finals but the happiness to reach
in the finals is there because it was her first world championship. Her journey
and story of glory depicts that she has a lot of potential is there, which we
will be seeing in near future. Her struggle and the spirit sets an example for
other women’s in Indian society too.
